John Habersham (December 23, 1754 – December 17, 1799) was an American merchant, planter, and soldier from Georgia. Born at Beverly Plantation in Chatham County in the Province of Georgia, Habersham completed preparatory studies and later attended Princeton College before engaging in mercantile pursuits. Native of New Jersey; son of Dr. William Burnet; attended Princeton and served as secretary to the Essex County, N.J., Committee of Safety before being appointed as an aide de camp to Maj. Gen.
